Gastroparesis, and what is heavy to empty
With delayed gastric emptying, the question is not whether a food is healthy but how hard it is to get out of the stomach. Fat, fibre and texture are the three levers, and all three are readable from a label.
Fat, fibre and texture
Fat and fibre both slow gastric emptying, which is exactly the mechanism already impaired in gastroparesis. Texture is the third factor: the small-particle-size diet, which is the strongest evidence anchor here, is essentially about how finely food is broken down before it needs to leave the stomach.
Whole nuts, seeds, skins and raw fibrous vegetables are hard work by that measure. Munchable flags them by texture as well as by their nutrition numbers, and escalates when a product combines high fat with either high fibre or a difficult texture, because that combination is the classic problem case.
Assessed as packaged
One caveat runs through every gastroparesis verdict: Munchable assesses the product as it comes in the packet. Blending it, or eating it with plenty of liquid, genuinely changes how it empties. A texture flag on something you intend to blend into a smoothie may not apply to you at all, and the app says so rather than pretending the packet is the whole story.

Often, yes. Munchable assesses a product as packaged and says so, because particle size is one of the things you can change and the label cannot know about.
